For 93 years, since the first “Old Spanish Days” in 1924, Fiesta has been a celebration of the rich history that makes Santa Barbara such a special place. Annually, the experiences shared during Fiesta serves as a uniting force in our community.

La Recepcion del Presidente
A wonderful evening in the beautiful outdoor Plaza del Sol at the Fess Parker's Double Tree Resort, this event brings together fiesta history with the excitement of the Fiesta to come. Guests are warmly greeted by the official receiving line of La Presidente Rhonda Henderson and her family, as well as her Fiesta family including the Spirits, Saint Barbara and Vice Presidentes. The evening includes guests in their finest Fiesta attire, a tasty Mexican buffet, entertainment by talented artists including the Spirits as well as a performance by the two-tie Grammy award winning all female ensemble Mariachi Divas.
La Fiesta Pequena
As the sun slowly sets behind the "Queen of the Missions", experience the Franciscans hospitality as they welcome all to enjoy the official opening of Old Spanish Days Fiesta at this beautiful setting as they have since 192. "Little Fiesta" includes traditional songs and dance from Californios, Flamenco Spanish classical and Mexican folkloric, as appearance from Saint Barbara, and a special performance from the 2017 Spirit.
Crazy Horse Cantina
The Crazy Horse Cantina, inside Mercado Del Norte, features a beer garden with live entertainment and is a favorite gathering sort for locals during Fiesta. It is host during the day to Fiesta;s battle of the bands competition. At night and all day Saturday the Cantina turns into a beer garden with entertainment from the top area bands. After 5pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and after 4pm on Saturday the Cantina is ages 21 and up.
El Mercado de la Guerra
Stroll through a colorful Mexican market (across from City Hall) to feast on Spanish and Mexican-American foods, shop for crafts and souvenirs, and enjoy live entertainment all day and into the early evening. De La Guerra Plaza.
El Mercado Del Norte
The food court where you can watch daily entertainment and enjoy Fiesta foods; the Fiesta Bazaar for souvenirs; Fiesta Carnival with rides and attractions for the kids; and the Crazy Horse Cantina for icy cold beer margaritas and lie entertainment in the evening to get you out on the dance floor. Mackenzie Park: State street and Las Positas Street in the San Roque area.
Casa Cantina
Celebrate Fiesta where it all began as Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation present the annual Casa Cantina in the courtyard of the historic Casa de la Guerra. Part of the annual Old Spanish Days Fiesta celebration, locals and visitors alike are invited to relax, sip a cold drink, and celebrate at the home of Fiesta! Ages 21 and up.
Santa Barbara Mission Docent Tours
Come explore the Queen of the Missions during special docent led tours. Wednesday -Friday at 11am and 1:30pm; Thursday at 2:30pm; Saturday at 10:30am and 2pm; Sunday at 1:30pm.
Courthouse Fiesta Tours
Free guided tours of this beautiful Moorish-Spanish building take place every 'half hour' Wednesday through Saturday and 'every-hour' Sunday.
La Misa del Presidente
The Saint Barbara Parish invites you to enjoy High Mass in the main church of Old Mission Santa Barbara. La Misa is held in honor of El Presidente and the Old Spanish Days Board, celebrating both the long-standing relationship between the Old Mission, Old Spanish Days and the Fiesta community. Followed by a festive reception in the Mission's Sacred Garden.
Celebración de los Dignatarios
Experience which wines and tequilas pair with a stunning sunset while you stroll the lush gardens of the beautiful Santa Barbara Zoo. Come hungry, food from the Central Coast's finest eateries is included in the price of the ticket and drinks are included as well.
Professional Bull Riders Touring Pro Division
This is great opportunity for rodeo fans of all ages to witness the greatest riders in the world! Fans will witness thrilling 8-second rides and jaw-dropping wrecks throughout the adrenaline-soaked performance as the PBR's insanely brave cowboys risk it all against monstrous animal athletes. Earl Warren Showgrounds Arena.
Las Noches de Ronda
"Nights of Gaiety" is held in the Sunken Gardens of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse. Evening performances feature spectacular dances and songs form the fie of flamenco to the charm of Mexican folkloric dances. Over 200 performers entertain nightly and donate their time to this wonderful event.
Fiesta Stock Horse Show and Rodeo
Junior Tri-Counties riders compete in Breakaway Roping, Tie-down Roping, team Roping and Barrel Racing. Riders compete in the Non-Pro Stock Horse Class and Buckaroo Class plus eliminations for the Open Stock Horse and Hackamore Classes.
El Desfile Historico (Historical Parade)
Features floats depicting episodes from the history of the state and city. It is one of the nation's largest equestrian parades, featuring over 600 horses, as well as many antique carriages, coaches, and wagons. Starts at the west end of Cabrillo Boulevard, proceeds east along the beach to State St, then up State Street to Sola Street.
Flor Y Canto
Here is a rare opportunity to see the original Spanish California dances and songs of the 19th century. Interwoven with historic narration, the musical numbers are accompanied on replica acoustic instruments. These unique songs and dances are performed by local residents in authentic costumes. Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the show! Held at the Santa Barbara Courthouse Sunken Gardens.
Courthouse Legacy Foundation's Fiesta Party Overlooking Noches de Ronda
View Las Noches festivities from the Courthouse's 2nd Floor Loggia and Mural Room. You can also get up close and personal with VIP on-stage seats, if desired, or take in the breathtaking sweeping city vies from the Clock Tower.
Rodeo Performance
Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association events, including Bareback Riding, Tie down Roping, Steer stopping, Mutton Bustin', Saddle Bronc Riding, PRCA Team Roping, Barrel Racing and Bull Riding.
